We are always looking for parents/carers to help set up and pack away the play sessions at St. Paul's. It is a large venue and is a big task to set up the session alone! If you cannot commit to a specific day, it would be great just to know you will try to tidy away the toys your child/ren has been playing with. If you do feel you could help out on a more regular basis then please talk to Ilenia at one of the sessions.
We also engage with volunteers on a more long term basis and in accordance with our Child Protection Policy we provide child protection training and process CRB's. This is managed on a voluntary basis and therefore if you do contact us, please be patient.
Our volunteers are an essential part of the charity, providing the management, day to day running and a warm welcome. The helpers are parents, carers, childminders and non-working adults of all ages, experience and backgrounds. We are looking for volunteers and always welcome a new face.
"As a volunteer, The Brentford Toy Library has enabled me to meet other carers, use the experience I developed before becoming a parent and helped me to gain new skills. This is both extremely enjoyable and useful for my further working life. The main bonus is that whilst I’ve been volunteering my child has developed her own skills and made some wonderful friendships." Trustee.
At the Brentford Toy Library we believe that all children have the right to a safe place to play, therefore our play sessions and membership are free.
